firmly believe we are triune, just like God. God is Father, Son, and Spirit. We are Spirit, Soul, and Body. We often devote our lives to our soul and body, forgetting the spirit. But, those of us who are Gay or Lesbian Christians, we sometimes forget the body, too. All three must be in balance. So, make sure your body is as healthy as your spirit and your soul.
eople write me now and then and complain about "certain pictures" on the website, pictures of people, and pictures of ME "supposedly" unclothed. They think it is not Christian, or sinful, and I have a problem. I remind them WHY these pictures appear. The photographs used here relate to the topic discussed, to show the muscle groups involved, or to show athletic development. People see what they see; I sometimes believe their objections actually reveal their true hearts. So, I remind you, too, to have a proper and healthy perspective on art and photography, for rarely are they the problem; instead, the problem lies in the heart of the viewer.

Body Hair Shaving and Grooming
ody hair is cultural. In America, women practically shave every body hair. In other countries they don’t shave under their arms or on their legs. In some countries, men shave their body hair, including their arms and legs. It’s your body, and again, other people have to live around it.
In men, culturally, back hair is the least desirable. Don’t believe the advertisements for quick and simple hair removals; most don’t work, they burn the skin. Unless you want to pay for permanent hair removal, your handy razor is your best weapon. If you can’t reach in some spots, then that’s what a best friend is for, call him or her up and declare it beauty night, have some low-fat popcorn ready and a movie, too.
Chest hair, fashion wise, looks best "groomed." Short or long, tame your chest hairs, to show them off at their best.
| Some male models do it by using electric clippers designed for trimming beard and mustaches. Put the clippers to the desired length, and glide it over your chest, just watch out around your nipples. | |
You’ll probably notice, too, that one side of your body doesn’t grow as evenly as the other; such is the way God made man.
Hair down there, it’s your call. Shaving down there is not a sign you are gay or straight. Just be aware of the price you pay to shave there. There is increased possibility of ingrown hairs. Use lotions after shaving. If you choose to shave, then you’ll need to shave regularly, that stubble problem isn’t pretty and it doesn’t feel good. If you choose not to shave down there, you may still want to consider grooming the hair. Use clippers to make the hair length uniform. If you shave other areas, the same cautions and labors apply.
Men, if you do not have a natural "treasure trail" (a trail of body hair running from your belly button downward) but want one, you can trim your body hair to create one. Trim the body hair very short on the left and right side of your stomach, leaving a strip about one quarter to one half inch wide running downward from your belly button; or, trim a strip running the entire length from your chest, to your belly button, and on downward.
Why shave or trim down there? It’s a matter of illusion for men, the shorter the hair the longer or more prominent other things appear... hint, hint. Women, if you want that bikini look, then you’ll have to pay the price to regularly shave or wax there. People shave and trim for themselves, or sometimes for their life partner, too; not everyone likes to see or experience a forest or bear rug.
Some men don’t like hair on their toes or knuckles. It’s your body, but remember some people might like it.
Underarm or armpit hair is interesting, but tame it, too. For some men, it may look better groomed, or short. That may sound odd, but professional models do it; use those clippers again. Women shaving here is a cultural choice; you can go against culture, but you may pay a price for doing so.
Shorter underarm hair also lessens odor. Women have to pay the cultural price regarding armpit hair, depending on where they live. Whether you are a man or woman, if you do shave, remember to moisturize with lotion afterwards.
If you have very few chest hairs, or just hair around your nipples, or only a few here and there, you might consider shaving it off. Hunt them down and eliminate them. Some women, with age, have hair that appears around their nipples, and that is easily removed.
Remember, if you are in a relationship, your body is also your partner’s. Therefore, make sure your partner knows where and what you shave, perhaps he or she may want it slightly different or left alone.

Male Facial Hair
acial hair is culturally driven. Sometimes it is "in," and other times it is "out." Take this into consideration when deciding whether or not to sport facial hair, and what style. You also need to take into consideration your occupation, and how you wish you be viewed by society. Whatever your choice or style of facial hair, groomed always looks best. Finely trimmed edges not only look good, they send a signal to people that you take care of yourself, you care about how you are viewed and seen, and that you care about other people, too. If you cannot adequately groom your facial hair, mustache, beard, goatee, whatever, with just a razor, invest in an electric facial hair grooming kit. They come with various attachments to determine hair length and style. I, personally, wear what is sometimes called the "three-day style" beard.
Facial Shaving
he right razor is the key. Never use a disposable razor. The handle and the angles are all wrong. They’re made cheap, they are cheap, and they cut cheap. Buy a real good razor once and it will be your friend for a lifetime. Use a new blade every time when you shave body hair. Use a shaving gel not foam.
I do not understand women who do not take care of their minor facial hair. It’s part of how you are perceived in society and culture. So, take care of it while you take care of the rest of your face.
Men, you can use the same blade several times on facial hair depending on the coarseness of your beard. Warming the beard beforehand is more important than wetting it; consider using a damp but warm towel. Use a shaving gel, rather than foam. A gel puts down a slick protective coat against the skin, protecting it from the razor. Your facial hair does not all grow the same direction and pattern. Find a shaving pattern that works for you and then stick to it.
Afterwards, always using a shaving balm or lotion to sterilize the skin and bring it healing. Use a septic pencil or powder, not toilet paper, on razor cuts. Don’t use aftershaves, they’re mostly alcohol, and alcohol dries your skin. Always use shaving lotions, which have alcohol to sterilize, but lotion added to moisturize, too. If you wear cologne or perfume, consider a shaving lotion that matches your scent.
and chat with me about shaving.
Teeth and Breath
t’s not going to do you any good to build up your body if you have no smile. Surprisingly, gay men say they often respond to a pretty smile, bright eyes and charming personality before they respond to a buff body. Women always love a cute smile. So, take care of your teeth. You’ll need them to chew all the protein your body needs. Get regular cleanings. Your Dentist can detect cavities before they get out of control. Your Dentist can also whiten your teeth, or make recommendations for over-the-counter whiteners. Sodas, coffees, and teas will make teeth dark. Your Dentist can also recommend cosmetic adjustments, to help your smile and your self-esteem.
When you brush your teeth, brush your tongue, too. This will help you with your breath. If you think you have a breath problem, find someone you trust and ask. If you do, take care of it. You can find mints, mouthwashes, and even prescription medications to help. Even if you don’t have a breath problem, a mint before walking in the door to work, a party, or a date won’t hurt.
and chat with me about teeth, etc.
