 s time has passed and as I have spent time assisting people in furthering their walk with Jesus it is my firm belief the majority of difficulties people experience regarding sexuality and sexual orientation really have nothing to do with these issues. |
Rather, I believe they instead wrestle with self-love, self-image, self-acceptance, self-actualization and self-esteem. When these truer issues are addressed in Jesus Christ then the sexuality and sexual orientation will naturally and without effort fall into place and its proper holy expression.
Here we will look at how to develop a secure self-image and self-acceptance in Christ, improve self-love and self-esteem, and walk in Christ through proper self-actualization. We will be looking at the effects low self-esteem, self-image and self-acceptance can have on your adult development, learn how to identify poor choices and behaviors and how to correct them through Christ's Love, and learning how to allow Christ to assist you in bringing healing to both your life and your sexuality.

People will tell you to be a Christian you have to look a certain way, act a certain way. People will tell you to be a Christian you have to think a certain way, believe a certain way. People will tell you to be a Christian you have to go to Church every Sunday, read your Bible so much a day, pray so much a day. People will tell you to be a Christian you have to live a certain way, or live like they do. Being a Christian is not what you do but who you are; who you are will determine what you do.
If you are a Christian, then you will naturally desire to fellowship with other believers (Church), read God's Love Letter to you (Bible), and spend time and talk with your God (Prayer). If you are a Christian you will think the way God wants you to, you will believe what God wants you to believe. If you are a Christian you will look the way God wants you to look, act the way God wants you to act. If you are a Christian you will live the way God wants you to live. God and God's Love compels you to love God, yourself and other people
The way God wants you to look, think, act, and live, is Love.
God Loves you as you are, and like the Parent in the Story of the Prodigal Son, God waits, searching the horizon every day for you to come home. Seeing you in the distance, God runs to greet you on the road, covering you in hugs and kisses. The cleaning up comes after you come home, it is then God bathes you in the Spirit, clothes you in God's Righteousness.
Though Jesus came and opened the way for you to return home, you have to make the decision to return, it's your choice.
So, if you've been busy trying to clean yourself up, fix your problems, find yourself, stop it. Instead, turn to God, who will accept you as you are and restore and build you into the person you've always been meant to be. Turn to God, ask God to forgive you of your shortcomings, give God your life totally. God will come; meet you where you are on the road of life. Together, as God's newly adopted son or daughter, you will walk the road of life God intends for you.
To find yourself, you have to come home to God. If you haven't done this, I invited you to pray this prayer:
"God, I confess I have left home and not been living as I should. I believe Jesus came for me, Loves me. God, I ask for your forgiveness, I return home to You. Come into my life, Jesus, cleanse me, make me whole; lead me in the road of life you intend for me. Help me God to see myself as you see me, to Love myself, to Love You, to Love other people. I thank you, God, for loving me and hearing this prayer. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
